This study conducted in Kinshasa's Lemba commune during December 2022 aimed to explore factors influencing COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among adults. Out of 422 surveyed households, with participants aged 19 to 70, 43.4% had accepted the vaccine. Key findings revealed that factors influencing acceptance included a history of chronic illness, exposure to misinformation from social media and traditional media, fear of vaccine side effects, fear that the vaccine might endanger life, vaccine hesitancy, and the perceived ease of getting vaccinated. These insights underscore the importance of addressing these concerns to enhance vaccine acceptance in the targeted population. Understanding the dynamics of vaccine acceptance is crucial for effective public health strategies in the ongoing effort to combat the global COVID-19 pandemic.
