Women in Transport: Investigating Cultural Dimension of Female Transport Operators in Ibadan, Nigeria. The study examines the opportunities and challenges that women encounter in Nigeria's transportation sector, with a particular emphasis on the cultural factors that affect their involvement. Collecting data from 21 female transport operators, ages 15 to 44. Descriptive and linear regression methods were used to analyze the data gathered. In contrast, cultural views were shown to be a substantial barrier, underscoring the need to confront harmful preconceptions and encourage societal movements towards gender equality. The study found a positive correlation between socioeconomic characteristics and the decision to become a bus driver. In order to empower women and improve their performance, awareness campaigns and positive role models are crucial, as the detrimental effects of gender stereotypes on perceived and actual professional competence highlight.The study recommend multifaceted strategies, implementing anti-bias training and equitable transport sector where women can thrive.
