Policymakers often raise questions regarding the need to reach replacement level (2.1 children) is sensible as there appears to be an overshoot, whereby fertility falls to sub-replacement level with consequences of ageing populations as seen in countries like Italy, and Japan and predicted in China and other parts of the world. Four panelists will face each other in a riveting debate to argue their side, chaired by Dr. Cheikh S. Mbacké.
