We analyzed national and regional climate change and health action plans, policies, strategies, and financing in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for the integration of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), and family planning (FP)—policies for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Cote Ivoire, Malawi and the Philippines. The countries of focus have made tremendous efforts to strengthen the enabling environment for addressing climate change aligned with global frameworks. Despite recognising the gendered impact of climate change on human health, the policies fall short of incorporating comprehensive strategies for addressing the interconnected challenges of population dynamics, SRHR, FP, and climate change impacts. Building institutional collaboration, capacity development, and financing mechanisms to foster a unified and resilient approach in both countries is recommended.
